On Being and Becoming: Hope, Humility, and Staying Teachable

This reflection brings my On Being and Becoming series to a close, although it feels more like an invitation to continue than an ending.
What began as a simple list of questions I often return to, slowly unfolded into a series that asked for time, attentiveness, and space to breathe. Along the way, I explored themes of time, love, grief, presence, writing, and authenticity. Each theme is shaped by lived experience rather than tidy conclusions.
In this final piece, I turn toward three questions that continue to feel especially alive for me: how to discern which dreams to hold lightly and which to lean into, how to live meaningfully wherever I find myself, and how to remain humble and open to learning as life unfolds.
Through personal stories, reflection, and journal excerpts, I explore how meaning and purpose are less about certainty and control, and more about presence, attentiveness, and staying connected to who we are becoming.
If you’ve been walking with this series, or if you’re simply carrying questions of your own, I invite you to continue reading on Substack.
