The Threads That Hold Us

Some days, reflection arrives quietly - in a memory, a moment of stillness, or a familiar face crossing the mind. On days like these, I find myself thinking about relationships: the people who have shaped me, challenged me, walked beside me, and reminded me who I am becoming.

This piece began as a simple reflection on gratitude, but slowly unfolded into something deeper. It touches on connection, vulnerability, healing, and the delicate balance of giving deeply while learning to care for oneself.

As a counsellor, I believe that authenticity, presence, and compassion are at the heart of meaningful change. As a human, I know how tender and complex relationships can be. This reflection lives at that intersection.

If you’ve ever been part of my story - through conversation, shared moments, or quiet connection - know that you are remembered and deeply valued.

I acknowledge that my work takes place on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territories of the Stó:lō people — including the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), qw̓ɑ:nƛ̓ə̓n̓ (Kwantlen), Mathxwí (Matsqui), Semá:th (Sumas), Leq’á:mel, and Semiahmoo First Nations — and I am grateful to live and work on these lands.
